Sword Guard (<i>Tsuba</i>)

Circular object that is wider than it is tall. The object is made of dark gray metal and has a weathered appearance. There are curved thin strips of metal forming curved shapes. An elongated oval shape is centered with a long opening along its vertical axis. On either side of the elongated oval are two rounded openings. Curved strips of metal extend from the center to the edge of the circle. At the edge on the right, there are small rounded shapes resembling berries. Characters are engraved vertically on either side of the long opening.
