Surrounding the cutout and inlays is an intricate design featuring multiple small monkeys climbing a tree. The monkeys are depicted in various poses, some reaching for or eating peaches. The metal is dark brown with a slightly weathered appearance and some gold accents on the monkeys' faces and hands. The background of the image is light gray.
