Pellet Bell in the Form of a Human Head

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The object is a bronze sculpture of a human head. The head has a wide face with a short nose. The eyes are triangular in shape and have a small circle in the center. The eyebrows are not present. The mouth is curved upwards in a smile. There are two small ears on the sides of the head. A crown-like structure sits on top of the head with small spikes along the edge. The object appears to be hollow and open at the bottom. A small knob sits on top of the crown. The background is a plain wall.
