There are five black bears on the hill, three in the foreground and two more in the distance. The bears appear to be female. The Maharaja is on the left side, sitting on a tree branch with a person wearing blue and another wearing red. The person in red has a halo around their head. The Maharaja wears an orange turban and has a bow and arrow. The border around the painting is red with blue and yellow sections at the top. The blue and yellow sections have white lines. The frame has some damage on the edges.
