The painting depicts a brown rectangular section with a beige border. The rectangular section contains a dark brown painting of bamboo leaves and stalks on a brown background. The leaves are long and thin with pointed tips. They are arranged in a curved line from the bottom left to the top right. There is a column of Chinese calligraphy on the left side of the painting. The calligraphy is written vertically and consists of black characters on the brown background. There are two small red seals at the bottom of the painting, one on either side of the bamboo. A small strip of paper with Chinese characters is attached to the top right corner of the painting.
