

Monk’s cap ewer
White ceramic ewer with a rounded body and short foot. The body bulb is widest in the middle. The short neck flares out at the top and has a lip with a short spout on the left side. The handle is on the right side and curves down from the lip. The background is dark at the top and light at the bottom with a shadow cast to the right. The ewer, also known as a monk's cap ewer, is by artist Bernard Palissy.
