Ewer with Floral and Striped Design

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

White ceramic ewer with a handle and spout, featuring a brown and black floral design and striped patterns on the body and handle. The ewer has a rounded body that tapers towards the top. A wide band of dark brown and black floral designs encircles the lower part of the body. Above this band, a horizontal line separates it from a section of short, vertical stripes. The handle is adorned with brown and black stripes. The spout is short and curved. The interior of the ewer's opening is dark red. The overall design combines floral motifs with geometric patterns. Ewer with Floral and Striped Design by Leach, Bernard.
