The Saucer with butterflies and melons by William Morris, is a white ceramic saucer with an irregularly scalloped edge. It features black illustrations of a butterfly at the top centre, two melons on the lower left and centre with leaves and flowers throughout. The saucer has three small black feet at the bottom. The background of the image shows a grey surface with the saucer's shadows to the left.
