The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The vase, by an unknown artist, is a ceramic piece with a bulbous body and narrow neck. The body is predominantly red with a white rim and base. The red glaze features small dark speckles throughout. A white glaze covers the rim and upper neck, extending approximately one-third down the vase's length. Small dark speckles are on the edge of the rim. The base of the vase is round and flat. A light gray background surrounds the vase.
