The Vase by Leach. A dark red-brown ceramic vase with a bulbous body and narrow neck. The body is egg-shaped, wider at the middle and tapering to a small circular base. The neck is short, and the mouth is a small circular opening. The glaze on the rim of the mouth is white with brown speckles. The background is a plain gray surface, and the vase casts a shadow to the left.
