The ceramic sculpture depicts a hawk perched on a branch. The hawk faces right; its body is angled to the right and slightly forward. The hawk's head is smooth and rounded on top; the beak is hooked. The eyes are small and round. The body tapers down to the tail. A wing is visible on the side. The branch has holes and grooves on the surface. The entire sculpture is a uniform light gray color. The background is dark grey with a shadow cast by the sculpture.
