Cup with ladies in a garden

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

White ceramic cup with a wide mouth and a slightly narrow base. The cup features a black and white illustration of two women in traditional Asian clothing. The women have dark hair styled in buns and wear long robes with patterned sashes. One woman stands on the left, leaning forward to examine something on a low table; the other woman gestures with her right hand. The background of the illustration includes plant life and possibly a bird. The number "337" is printed inside the rim.
