Hanging Vase

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Hanging Vase by Bernard Leach. Cylindrical brown vase with a wide mouth. The upper portion of the vase is light brown; the lower portion is dark brown. The vase displays a crackled pattern on its surface and there are areas of discoloration. A small circular indentation on one side of the vase appears to be a small bump. The vase sits on a light gray surface against a dark gray background. A slight shadow is cast to the right.
