The ceramic ewer, by artist Bernard Leach, features a predominantly off-white body with brown and dark brown splotches around the top third of the object. A small lip is at the top and a handle protrudes from the left side. A spout protrudes from the right side near the top. The piece has a narrow base and bulges out in the center then angles inward to form the narrower top. The background is grey.
