Fei Hanyuan (Hi Kangen)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Landscape with a tall, rugged cliff on the left side and a body of water in the foreground. The cliff face is detailed with darker shading to indicate texture and depth. Trees and foliage are present on the cliff and along the water's edge. A small bridge spans the water, connecting two land areas. The artwork is rendered in black ink and some color on a beige background. The frame is brown with a patterned design. Two small red stamps are visible in the upper right corner. Vertical black calligraphy is also present in the upper right corner.
