Rectangular wooden cabinet with a hinged lid and two drawers, decorated with gold and silver circular crests, and black metal hardware. The cabinet is light brown with a darker brown trim. A repeating pattern of gold and silver circular crests is on the top, sides, drawers, and front panel. The crests are similar to the Tokugawa family crest. The lid has a black metal handle on top. The interior of the cabinet and drawers have a wood grain finish and gold circular crests on the edges. A black ink tray and silver writing tools are inside. A stylized chrysanthemum and foliage scroll design decorates the lid and sides, rendered in gold and silver.
