Cylindrical object made of bronze or brass with rounded top and bottom. The object has a handle on top. It consists of several horizontal sections. The surface is etched and decorated in gold with two distinct scenes. Left scene depicts a diagonal bridge, clouds, and maple branches. The bridge is positioned diagonally from top left to bottom right. There are maple branches with leaves at top left. Clouds are present in the background. Right scene shows rocks and waves beneath maple trees and clouds. There are large waves and swirling water at the bottom. Maple trees with leaves are at top right. Clouds are visible in the background. Both scenes are rendered in gold on a darker, mottled background. The object appears to be a traditional Japanese inro.
