Case (Inrō) with Design of Hunter Dismounting Horse (obverse); Two Spotted Deer (reverse)

Rectangular black case with rounded top and braided cord handle. The obverse, or front, of the case features a profile view of two spotted deer in white and orange with black spots; one deer behind the other. The deer are on the lower half of the case. The reverse, or back, of the case depicts a profile view of a man dismounting from a rearing horse; the man wears a traditional uniform and hat; he faces left and holds a bow in his right hand; the horse is brown. The man and horse are on the lower half of the case. Both sides of the case are predominantly black. The case consists of six horizontal panels. Small gold markings on lower left of front. The case sits on a green and white patterned cloth.
