Case (Inrō) with Design of Tortoise beside Seals (obverse); Inscription and Seal (reverse)

Rectangular object with wavy edges and a knob at the top. The object is made of light-brown material, possibly wood or lacquer. The front displays a black and red design of a tortoise beside two seals. The tortoise is on the bottom left side; it faces right and its head is raised. Two seals are to the right of the tortoise. The back features black Chinese calligraphy arranged vertically down the center. A single character is on the bottom right. Horizontal lines separate the object into four sections. The background is a solid brown color. The object appears to be an inro, a type of Japanese case.
