Netsuke of Grotesque Mask

Wooden netsuke carved in the form of a grotesque mask by artist unknown. The mask has a wide face with a large nose and mouth, and sharp teeth. Two small humanoid figures carved on top of the mask, one on top of the other. The figure on top is smaller and has its arms outstretched. The mask and figures are carved from dark wood with a reddish-brown patina. The background is white.
