Covered Vase

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a glass vase titled "Covered Vase" by artist Lenox. The vase is made of clear glass and has a rectangular base that tapers outward then inward to form the body. The body then tapers outward again to form a wide shoulder, then inward to form a short cylindrical neck and a small circular mouth with a slightly protruding rim. A lid with a small knob fits on top of the mouth. Two clear glass handles protrude from either side of the body, just below the shoulder. The handles are shaped like curved branches with a cluster of what appears to be grapes at the bottom. The vase sits on a white surface against a gray background.
