

Tea jar, Grueby Faience and Tile Company (American, New York, 1895-1915), The body is bulbous with a narrow lip opening; the base is wide and rounded. The lower third of the body is dark brown. The upper two-thirds are white with dark brown crackle patterns; the cracks get larger toward the top. The crackle pattern thins out around the top; the very top edge has a small unglazed rim. The overall shape is symmetrical with a high center. The surface is shiny and glossy.
