The Jar by Isamu Noguchi is a large ceramic vase. It has a bulbous body with a narrow neck and wide mouth. The base of the vase is dark-colored. The body and neck are covered in white glaze with spots and irregular patches of dark color. The dark color seeps into the white glaze at the bottom. The glaze appears uneven and rough with many spots and bubbles. A small label on the front reads THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART. The background is light-colored.
