The bottom has a continuous curved shape resembling an upside-down "U" with the point reaching towards the top. The wood features intricate carvings of floral patterns and leaves throughout. The background is white with some darker lines and shadows visible underneath the piece. The carvings are carved into the wood with no raised surfaces. The edges are rough. There are no visible signatures or marks on the piece. The piece by artist M.C. is titled "Section of an Archway".
