Top section divided into two parts, each containing tightly packed small black Japanese characters written in rows. Bottom section divided into two parts, each containing larger, more fluid black Japanese characters, written less densely. Pages are slightly worn and have darker spots. Background is light gray. Title "Teaching Calligraphy (Fumi no hayashi) ふみ(文)のはやし", artist unknown.
