Master Honoré

Cleveland Museum of Art

Oval medieval manuscript illustration with blue and gold background featuring a diamond pattern. A man in a blue robe and red cloak on the left pouring from a red vessel onto a stone object on the right. The man has short gray hair and a beard; he faces right. He has his right hand lowered near the object and his left raised near his chest. The stone object has a sloping roof and appears to be on a lower level than the man. The oval border is brown with blue and gold accents on the inside. Small white flowers are on the blue sections. Text in brown is along the bottom but not fully visible.
