Man Seated on the Ground, Seen from Behind (recto); Sketch (verso)

Cleveland Museum of Art

The image shows two sketches on brown paper. The left sketch depicts a nude man sitting on the ground, seen from behind. His body faces right, with his head turned to look over his left shoulder. He sits with his right leg bent and his left leg extended. His right arm is bent at the elbow and rests on his right knee. The right sketch appears to be a figure study, possibly of a man, but the drawing is very faint and unclear. A circular stamp is located at the bottom center of the right sketch. Two small rectangular stamps are located below the circular stamp. The background of both sketches is the brown paper.
