The painting depicts a woman standing and holding a fan. She is wearing a long dress with a blue and yellow pattern. The dress has an orange sash around her waist. Her hair is pulled back and she is facing to the right. The fan she holds is open and has a multicolored pattern. The background is a mottled brown color with some blue, yellow, orange and white marks. There are some indistinct objects on the floor to her right. The woman's head is turned away from the viewer.
