Sleep and Death Cista Handle

The sculpture titled "Sleep and Death Cista Handle" by Bertel Thorvaldsen depicts two winged figures, resembling ancient warriors or gods with helmets, carrying a third figure. The two outer figures are positioned on either side, each wearing a helmet with a crest, and have large wings protruding from their backs. They are nude except for their helmets and appear to be in motion, as if they are running or striding. The figures are holding a third figure between them.
