The Virgin Mary sits on the right in a blue robe with green head covering and a gold halo; she holds a book. The illustration is framed by an ornate border with floral designs and geometric patterns in red, blue, green, gold, and black. The border also contains tiny stars and flowers. The text below the illustration is in black calligraphy. The page has a beige background with some darker spots and discoloration. The book has a dark cover and a gold clasp. The top of the page has a small scene of Christ as a baby with a halo, surrounded by a blue and red canopy.
