Skirt

Cleveland Museum of Art

The skirt, by an unknown artist, is a knee-length garment with a light blue waistband at the top. The waistband has a small loop on the left side and is made of a solid-colored fabric. The skirt itself is made up of various sections of fabric, with the main body being white with a light gray floral pattern and featuring 7 vertical black stripes on the right side and 2 on the left. A wide section down the center features a large floral panel at the bottom with pink roses and blue, teal, and gold accents. A thin blue and gold patterned border runs along both sides of the wide center panel. There are 2 narrower panels on either side of the center panel with darker blue, white and gold floral patterns. The bottom hem of the skirt features a border with blue and white flowers on a black background. The skirt also features scattered floral patterns throughout, with pink roses and blue and pink flowers with green leaves. The background of the image is gray.
