The Chalice by Antonio Lopez: The chalice has a wide, short cup with a rounded, everted rim. The body of the cup is smooth and shiny. The base of the cup has applied ornamental scroll-like decoration. The stem is ornate with a decorative design featuring acanthus leaves and grotesques. It narrows to a decorative node then expands to a second similar design. The base of the chalice is octagonal with an ornate design consisting of acanthus leaves, flowers, and grotesques. The entire piece appears to be made of gold.
