Five Guineas: William III (obverse); Four Shields and Lion of Nassau (reverse)

The coin has two sides. The obverse side features a man's head facing right with curly hair and a feathered accessory on top of his head. The man's image is encircled by text at the top which reads "GVLIELMVS REX FD" and at the bottom "MAG BR H L". The reverse side features four shields arranged in a cross with a lion in the center. The top shield features a lion, the right shield features a lion and a unicorn, the bottom shield features a harp, and the left shield features a fleur-de-lis. The shields are surrounded by text at the top which reads "REX TERTIUS MAG BRIT FR" and at the bottom "ET HIB L".
