Two gold coins are shown side by side on a gray background. The coin on the left has a profile view of a man's head facing right. The man has curly hair and a crown on his head. The words "CAROLVS II" are written at the top left and "DEI GRATIA" at the top right. There is a signature or marking at the bottom. The coin on the right has four shields arranged in a cross pattern. Each shield has a different design. Crown designs are above the shields and written around the top of the coin are "REX" and a date "1668". There are letters written around the bottom of the coin. Both coins have a beaded edge. The color of the coins is a warm gold color.
