The coin has two sides. The obverse side features a woman's profile facing left with wavy hair pulled back. She is wearing a draped garment. The words "ANNA DEI GRATIA" are written in a semicircle around the top half of the coin. The reverse side features four shields arranged in a cross pattern. The top and bottom shields have a crown on top. The top shield has three lions, the bottom shield has a single lion, the left shield has a harp, and the right shield has three fleurs-de-lis. Crossed scepters lie behind the shields. The words "MAG BR FR ET HIB REG" are written in a semicircle around the top half of the coin.
