The Centerpiece by Charles-Nicolas Odiot is a large, ornate silver bowl on a pedestal base. The bowl has two handles on either side which are topped with seated cherubs holding the handles. The base of the bowl is decorated with a floral pattern and has a wide, flared lip. The pedestal base is decorated with a similar floral pattern and has four legs that end in scroll-like curls. Three small cherubs are on the base. The lid of the bowl is domed and decorated with a similar pattern, and it is topped with a small figurine of a man on a horse. The entire piece is made of silver and has a shiny, reflective surface. The background of the image is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom.
