Katsukawa Shunshō

Cleveland Museum of Art

A Japanese woodblock print of a man in traditional clothing. He wears a kimono with a pink, white, and brown floral pattern, and a black undergarment. His kimono has a long train that pools on the floor around him. He has a hairstyle with a small bun on top of his head, and his hair is swept back on either side of his face. He holds a white object in both hands in front of his body and looks down at it. The background is a muted brown color with a darker brown line running horizontally across the middle.
