Missale: Fol. 177: Music for various ordinary prayers

Bartolommeo Caporali

Cleveland Museum of Art

Two columns of black text on yellowed parchment, written in a Gothic script, likely Latin. Red lines, possibly staff lines for music notation. Each column contains 9 lines of text. The left column contains a heading or title in larger text near the top. There are black musical notes on either side of some of the text. Faded circular watermarks are visible, one on either side of the bottom of the page. The right side of the page has a blank white area next to the column of text. The top and bottom of the page are not pictured. The overall appearance suggests an old, possibly medieval manuscript.
