Candlestick

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two candlesticks, "Candlestick" by an unknown artist. The candlesticks are made of clear glass. They have a square base with an ornate design around the bottom. The base leads to a wide, ornate middle section. There are two arms on either side of the candlestick. The arms are flat and extend outwards with a semicircle cut out on the end. The arms have chains of clear teardrop-shaped crystals hanging from them. The middle section leads to a short stem and then a flared, crown-like top. The candlesticks are identical and positioned side by side. The background is a light gray color.
