Candlestick

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The candlestick by Grayson Perry is white with a wide, flat base that tapers up into a rounded square shape. The base has a series of ridges around it. A wide, flat section sits above the base. The main body of the candlestick has three rounded sections that bulge out from the center post. These sections get progressively smaller. A short, thin piece connects the top bulbous section to a short, wide, flat dish-shaped area at the top. The background is dark gray and black with a shadow cast to the right.
