Card Table

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Card Table by Gillows. A wooden card table with a semicircular top, made of reddish-brown wood with darker spots. A white border runs along the edges. The tabletop is attached to a triangular base with three tapered legs, each ending in a small foot. One leg points directly down, while the other two are on either side. A gold-colored decorative element is visible on the front edge. The background is light greenish-gray. The table casts a shadow on the surface.
