The medal by Pierre Simon Benj. Duvivier features a bronze-colored, oval-shaped object with a raised border and a relief design. The design depicts a man on horseback in the center, wearing a hat and holding a sword in his right hand. The horse is rearing up on its hind legs. In the background, several people are shown, some of whom appear to be fighting or fallen on the ground. Above the man on horseback, there is a winged figure. The words "GUILLELMO WASHINGTON LEGIONES FOUDRE PRÆFECTO" are inscribed along the top edge of the medal. The words "COMITIA AMERICAN" are inscribed along the bottom edge. The medal appears to be attached to a wall, with a shadow visible to the right.
