Copper-colored medal with raised images and text. The medal is circular. The obverse side shows a man on horseback on top of a pedestal. The man wears a cape and a hat. The pedestal features a shield with a crest. The pedestal has columns on the sides. There is a winged figure on the bottom of the pedestal. The medal has a raised border. The border contains text which reads "CAROLO IV * PIO BENEF * HISP ET IND * REGI". Underneath the image on the medal is more text which reads "MICHAEL ANG BRANCIFORTE PRO MEX GUV EDULGAT" on the left, and " MARCH 8 ED NOVEMBRIS MEMORIALE EQVITATIS H M D" on the right. The bottom of the medal reads "AN * 1796 *". The background of the image is gray, dark at the top and light at the bottom.
