The medal has an inscription around the top edge that reads "VICTORIA LIBERTATIS VINDEX". There is additional text at the bottom of the medal. The medal has a dark brown patina and appears to be made of bronze. The background behind the medal is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom.
