Above the bird is a flower design. The plate has text around the edge. The text reads "De sperel sty 3ck of Sem Sicks, Bupig raver nock" at top, then gets smaller and continues around to bottom, "I SAMUEL TROXEL POTTER I ROKEL POTTER AG:". At the bottom of the plate in the middle, the letters F. G. and B are on either side of the pole. The half-circle behind the bird has an eagle design and the words "LIBERTY FOLK"
