Sideboard Table

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Sideboard Table by Thomas Chippendale features a marble top surface. The table has a mahogany base with curved legs that end in ornate gold feet resembling animal paws. The legs are white and cylindrical in the middle, with gold accents at the top and bottom. There are four drawers with lion's head drawer pulls. A shelf is positioned underneath the drawers. The back of the table has a raised panel with two rectangular mirrors bordered by gold stars. Gold decorative elements adorn the sides of the table and the front of the base. The background of the image is gray.
