The Sugar Bowl by Joseph Lownes is a silver-colored object with a wide, rounded body that tapers in at the bottom. A decorative line encircles the top and bottom of the bowl. The bowl has a pedestal base connected to a square base. A monogram, "J M C", is engraved on the front. The lid is domed with a small finial on top and a decorative line around the edge. The lid is attached to the bowl. The background is gray and white.
