Wall Bracket

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Wall Bracket by an unknown artist. Gray wall-mounted shelf with a decorative bracket in the shape of an eagle. The eagle is standing on a flat surface with its wings spread out to the sides and slightly upwards, left wing more raised than the right. Its talons grip the surface. The eagle's head is turned to the left. It has a large beak. The shelf above the eagle is flat and rectangular with a decorative edge. Below the eagle's feet, the shelf is supported by an ornate floral design that tapers to a point, resembling an upside-down flower. The background is a plain gray wall.
