The sculpture depicts a woman sitting on a round base, wearing a draped tunic. She sits with her right leg extended and her left leg bent. Her right arm rests on her knee, and her left arm holds a cloth over her shoulder. Two small children, a boy and a girl, lie on their sides on a cloth in front of her. The boy lies on his side with his head on the woman's lap and his legs extended to the left. The girl lies on her side, curled up, facing the woman. The sculpture is made of white marble and features detailed folds in the clothing. The base has an inscription that reads "LATONA AND HER CHILDREN APOLLO AND DIANA" and the artist's name. The background is a dark gray wall.
