Inside the border, there are several sections of stitching. The top section contains rows of alphabet letters in various colors. Below the alphabet are lines of numbers. The bottom section contains several lines of text in brown stitching. The text lines are followed by two houses with chimneys and trees on either side. The houses have multiple windows and are stitched in shades of brown, green, and orange. The border, flowers, leaves, alphabet, numbers, text and houses are all stitched with colored thread. The sampler has a zigzag edge.
